Apa itu Peplum?

Peplums are back for this year. It's already been 'hot' since past 6 months. And it's started to getting hot in Malaysia where we can see several of our fashion designers are using Peplum design? Okay, we get it. But, what on earth are they?

This is one of my collection on  Peplum design black top from Voir.

A Peplum is a frill or flounce of fabric that comes down from the waist over the hips to accentuate the female shape and can be found on dresses, skirts and tops. 

A Peplum is a gathered strip of fabric at the waist of a piece of clothing, which forms a freestanding flounce over the hips. - Jess Cartner-Morley .

So, do you get the exact idea about Peplum?

Okay, seni reka 'Peplum' ni kita boleh tengok masa zaman Saloma lagi, kan? Secara amnya, kita boleh kenal 'Peplum' tu dari sudut bahagian bawah pakaian dimana bermula dari pinggang, kain pakaian tu mulai berkembang hingga ianya kelihatan seperti mini skirt di bahagian pinggang!

Tapi tak semestinya kena kembaaaang baru Peplum. Dia asal nampak flounce gitu.

I still remember, the moment when I went to this Voir section at one of the mall in Kuala Lumpur, I saw this one black outfit hanged at a corner. An I just said to myself, 'This is so damn I will grab this!"

Banyak inovasi yang telah dibuat dalam penggunaan stail peplum ni.
